I was raised on a diet of ideas and 30 sec commercials. The duration got shorter and shorter as screens and budgets kept getting bigger. Then came the mobile, both screens and budgets got in competition to see which could shrink more. Now it’s not bigger or smaller, but like a print ad, the size changes from horizontal to square to vertical. Another casualty of screen size has been the idea. Today, viral is the requirement, not idea. In the race to grab millennial eyeballs, brands are as fickle in their promise as a Fb friendship.  

I, Vasudha Narayanan, started advertising the old fashioned way. But very quickly aged so I could continue talking to younger and younger people.  With me, you will get conversations about brands, ideas and the production process. Having worked as a creative person as well as in production I understand how a simple line in a script can affect the cost. I know how to stay within an idea and suggest tiny changes that will help bring production costs down. 

A little about me. I’ve spent a large part of my life at Lowe Lintas.I’ve lived out of a suitcase for months in Australia. Shanghai, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, as Creative Head for Johnson’s Asia Pac.I have worked with the local Lowe teams to build brands across Asia-Pac, with over 25 productions in China alone.A lot of my work has won awards in India and Asia.Some of my ideas from India/Asia have been adapted all over the world. I have conducted brand workshops, creative workshops, film production workshops etc. across Asia for our clients and for the local agencies with the IPG network. I’ve worked on pretty much every category baring bikes and cars. I am over 700 films old. I’m well versed with Print, Films, Thumbstoppers, digital films and DIY videos. I’m currently working on a project of 100 low cost videos for a brand. I’ve also worked on feature film publicity for Bollywood.

My client list includes Johnson & Johnson, Unilever brands like Pepsodent, Hamam, Liril, Kissan and Walls, Firstcry.com, Titan, Tanishq, Idea, VIP, India Kings, Wills Lifestyle, Chef’s Basket, Kirloskar, Flying machine, Van Heusen, etc. etc. My most recent interesting project has been a startup. Icrewedup.com fulfils a huge need in the industry.
